Tiara Nasha Pollard, 19, of Alvarado, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in Midlothian. Service be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, in Carver Park Baptist Church in Waco. Pastor Gaylon Foreman will officiate. Interment will be at 3 p.m. in Glenwood Cemetery in Alvarado. A wake will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.She was born July 14, 1994 in Cleburne to Andrew Lamont Bates and Tanya Shanell Mitchell. Tiara was a student at the Art Institute of Dallas. She worked at Dillards in Northpark Mall and in Waco. She was a member of Carver Park Baptist Church in Waco.Survivors include her mother, Tanya Mitchell of Ft. Worth; father and stepmother, Andrew and Kara Bates of Cleburne; brother, Demetrius Overton of Ft. Worth; four sisters, Takessa Mitchell of Waco, Dejanira Norris of Arlington, Myah Wooldridge and Jaela Bates, both of Cleburne; paternal grandmother, Lenettra Pollard of Alvarado; maternal grandparents, Willie and Mary Mitchell of Cleburne; and paternal great-grandparents, Booker T. and Beatrice Pollard of Cleburne and Mary Bates of Alvarado.She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, James Charles Pollard; maternal great-grandparents, Willie and Willie Jo Williams and Glendine and Tolly Mitchell.
