OBITUARY

Tommy Lee Regian, 55, of Houston, passed away Friday, January 14, 2005. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Castro officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video of his life will be shown during the visitation.

Tommy was born January 4, 1950, in Waco, and was baptized when he was 9 years old. He was a gifted athlete, especially in baseball where he was famous for a natural swing that made him the Homerun King of Waco at age 12.

He graduated in 1969 from University High School where he was a star linebacker who was featured in several news articles. Even later in life he enjoyed sports and coached Little League Baseball for his step-children.

At age 17 he became a licensed plumber and later moved to Houston where he operated his own plumbing company for a while, and was active in Plumbers Union Local 68.

He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Regian, and his brother, Ronald Regian who died in 1998.

He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Regian of Houston; his mother and step-father, Hattie and Tom Brumfield of Waco; a step-son by his present marriage, Christopher Chmial of Bremond; two step-sons by a previous marriage, Michael Mayfield of Bedford and Ashley Mayfield of Austin; a step-brother, Larry Brumfield of Waco; a step-sister, Carol Ann Henry, and husband, Eddie of South Carolina; four aunts, Estelle Kunkel, Audry Regian, and Vena Mae Saulter, all of Waco, and Fay Welch of Victoria, several cousins, and his two beloved dachshunds, Zeta and Abigail.

Pallbearers will be Roger Laine, Spencer "Buddy" Webb, John Regian, Clyde Ray Devers, Homer Hixson, and King Regian. His three stepsons will be honorary pallbearers.
