Tracy Marie Golden of Speegleville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, April 15, 2016, after a hard fought battle with appendix cancer. Throughout her entire cancer journey, she never gave up and maintained a brave and cheerful outlook of an optimistic future.
Tracy was born March 18, 1960 in Monterrey, California. She met Sam in 1976 and they were married June 27, 1981 and moved to Waco at that time. Sam was not only the love of her life but also saved her from herself many times. She leaves her husband Sam; three beautiful and amazing children and their families, Samantha Haberle and her husband Fred of Lorena, Whitney Dudley and her husband Bill of Godley and Cameron of Speegleville. Also her sweet, beautiful granddaughters who have brought so such happiness to so many people, Dylan and Holly Haberle of Lorena and Haley Dudley of Grandview. Tracy is also survived by her mother, Carol Dimick; brother, Michael Mahurin of Richardson and his family; uncle, Roger Dimick of Houston; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Golden of Waco. She leaves behind a large family of Golden in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The expansion of the Golden family with the addition of the Haberle's and Dudley's was a true celebration and family get-togethers were something she always looked forward to. She had many good friends that blessed her with lots of laugher and love including Sharron Earl, Sandy Reddig, Kristy Dodd, Valetha Ermoian, Pat Bruce, Donna Carroll, Stephanie Koehne and Laura Frantum.
Tracy happily worked at the Bill Logue Juvenile Justice Center and she was so very proud to be part of this team. She was so grateful to each and every person for allowing her to work until it just wasn't possible anymore. A special thanks to Melissa Such who was just a blessing to Tracy,
On behalf of the entire Golden family, they would like to thank each and every person at the McClinton Baylor Scott & White Cancer Center and Providence Hospice, especially Gay Fox, for taking such good care of Tracy. She bragged about every kind word and hug.
