Trudy P. Sanders, 50 of Waco, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2005 at a local care center.
A Tribute to Trudy will held at 2 pm Saturday, May 21, 2005 at First United Methodist Church, 4901 Cobbs Dr., led by Stephen Ramsdell. Arrangements are under the direction of OakCrest Funeral Home.
She was born on February 14, 1955 in Amarillo. Trudy graduated from Baylor University in 1976 with a BBA degree. She married the love of her life Bill on October 22, 1982. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waco.
Trudy was a CPA working in sales and financial services. She was a board member with Baylor Ex-Students and the Baylor Bear Foundation. Fraternal organizations include Chi Omega where she served as president during her college years. Civic clubs include San Antonio Quarterback Club, (She was the first female president), Turtle Creek Optimist in San Antonio, (life member and distinguished club president ) and the Newcomers and Neighbors in Waco.
Her hobbies included travel and being an avid fan of Baylor Athletics, season ticket holder for basketball, baseball, softball, football and one of the first season ticket holders to Lady Bears Basketball.
Trudy is survived by her husband, Bill of Waco; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Dula of Waco and Mr. and Mrs. William Peel of Georgetown; grandmother, Crystal Stocker of Trinity; and step-daughter, Kimber Sanders Spradlin of Superior, Colorado.
