Twila Vaughn

Twila Ann Vaughn, 61, of Gholson, passed away Friday. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gholson First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Stephens and the Rev. Brad Moore officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the OakCrest Funeral Home 4520 Bosque Blvd. Waco.

Mrs. Vaughn was born in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Melton McCurry and Mary Whatley McCurry. She married Steve Vaughan February 25, 1978 in Dalhart. She was a member of Gholson First Baptist Church where she was active in the Women's Missionary Union. Twila was a School Teacher and she taught in the Gholson School District for 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Vaughan is survived by her husband, Steve; sons, Michael, Mitchell and Matthew all of Waco; daughter Sara Vaughn of Harker Heights; brothers, John McCurry of West Virginia, Pierce McMurry; stepmother, Justina McCurry; stepsister, Lynette Billington all of Amarillo; special friend, Lisa Penniston ; 1 grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
