Urbano Muniz, 72, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Lawrence Soler as celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited 7 pm Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Mr. Muniz was born August 7, 1936 in San Benito, Texas to Bruno and Sista Martinez Muniz. He had been married to Sofia Rivera Muniz for 52 years. He retired from Nelley
Sand and Gravel. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sofia; daughter, Hilda Muniz Herberth and husband, Francisco;
son, Urbano Muniz, Jr. and wife, Lucy; sisters,
Julia Ochoa and husband, Pete and Olga Salinas and husband, Silver; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren;and many nieces and nephews.
