Vaneta Brown

Vaneta M. Brown, 84, of Arlington, formerly of Waco and Speegleville passed away Sunday. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating.

Mrs. Brown was born in Overton, Texas to Allen Wheelis and Bessie R. Dean Wheelis. She was member of First United Methodist Church. She married Ray Brown March 12, 1948 in Rockwall, Texas. Vaneta was a loving wife and mother.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband of 60 years; daughter, Dena Knoll and husband, Richard of Irving; sons, Gary Brown and wife, Alisa of Waco, Larry Brown and wife, Denise of Arlington; sisters, Virginia Thomas of Arlington, and Clara Nell Kaufman and husband, Leon of Houston; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly, LeeAnn, William, Melodie; and great granddaughter Elizabeth.
