Vera Inez Bradburn, 82, of Waco, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at a local care facility.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn W. Shoemake officiating. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video honoring her life will be shared during the visitation.
Vera was born April 19, 1924 in Moody to Gus and Ethel (Mann) French. She lived in the Waco area all of her life, except during 1948-1959 when she lived in Merced, Ca. She was married to Leslie Lee Bradburn in Waco on July 15, 1944, and they later divorced. She was a seamstress at Hillcrest Hospital for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Sul Ross Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Ethel French; her former husband, Leslie Lee Bradburn; grandson, John Michael Luscombe; brothers, A.J. (Buck) French and J.D. French; sisters, Lola Mort, Lillian Bryant, Dorothy Mae French, and Edna Mae French.
She was survived by three daughters, Sharon Ann Shoemake and husband, Glenn of Beaumont, Rosemary Lee Bradburn and Charles Slough of Waco, and Lesley Inez Eland and husband, Michael of Macomb Township, Mi.; son, Michael Shelby Bradburn and wife, Clare; grandchildren, James Luscombe, Matthew Laird, Sally Miller, Brent Laird, Jacob Eland, Nicholas Eland, Staley Justice, Jacob Bradburn, JoJo Bradburn, and John D. Bradburn, and great-grandchildren, Rickey Eland, Aedon Eland, and Macey Eland.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
