Verna Dawson
Verna Dawson, 96, of Waco, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Waco. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Rosemound Cemetery.
Verna was born July 6, 1917 in Bosqueville to Willie Manning and Clementine Danforth Manning. She married Billye Dawson in 1955 and they were happily married for 50 years until his death April 19, 2005. She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
Verna was employed as a housekeeper for the Sheehy family in Waco for 45 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loving Mother-in-law to Hope.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Dawson and wife, Hope of Waco; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
