Victor Sanchez Sardaneta, 70, of Waco, passed away Monday, August 25, 2008 in a Waco hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Victor was born in Coolidge, TX to Lorenzo and Gavina Sardaneta. He retired from Baylor University as a groundskeeper after 30 years. He also worked at Oakwood Cemetery for five years. He loved to dance and make jokes, and made many friends. His nieces and nephews especially enjoyed spending time with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Anita Ruiz, Guadalupe Munoz, and Loretta Ramirez; and two brothers, Salvador and Ruben Sardaneta.
He is survived by a brother, Ben Sardaneta and wife, Faye; and sisters, Connie Loredo and husband, Emilio, Aurora Mata and husband, Sergio, and Erminia Ortiz and husband, Jesse, all of Waco, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Alberto Sardaneta, Richard Rios, Cornelio Loredo, Arturo Melendez, Baltazar Martinez, and David Ortiz.
