Violet Leora Cox Parmeter, 94, of Waco, died, Saturday March 29, 2003 at a local care center.
SERVICES
Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be 1:00 pm Monday in the Lewistown City Cemetery in Lewistown, Montana. Visitation will be all day Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at OakCrest Funeral Home 4520 Bosque Blvd.
PERSONAL LIFE
Violet was born on September 29, 1908 in Shelbina, Missouri to Mr. and Mrs. John Raplee. She attended local schools in Shelby County Missouri and graduated from Kirksville Teachers College. Violet married Dr. Jack Elmer Cox in 1929 and moved to Lewistown, Montana where she raised her children Jack and Joan. She assisted her husband until his death in 1949. She married Oren Parmeter in September of 1960 and moved to Dallas. Violet was on the Eagles Auxiliary in Lewistown, Montana. Besides being preceded in death by two husbands she also lost her son Jack David Cox on August 29, 2001.
SURVIVORS
She is survived by her daughter Joan Brown and husband Carroll of Lorena; grandsons, Christopher Brown of Dallas and Robert Brown and wife Polly of Marlin; granddaughter, Tracey Wilson and husband Garrick of Garland.
Throughout her life she had an enthusiasm for learning and teaching others.
