Virginia Chesser

Virginia Jo Chesser, 85, of Edwards, MS, formerly of Waco, passed away January 23, 2013 at home. Services will be 10 am Monday, January 28 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Clint Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

Virginia was born July 4, 1927, in Hubbard to Clarence and Annie (Pasley) Moore. She married Marion Chesser May 1, 1954 in Hubbard. She was a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church and has since been a member of Bolton Baptist Church, Bolton, MS. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert and Charlie Moore, son, Clarence Chesser; and her beloved husband of 49 years.

She is survived by sons, David Chesser and wife, Judy of Floresville and James Chesser of Waco; daughter, Wanda Havens and husband, John of Edwards, MS; sisters, Janie Pineda of Hillsboro, Linda Statham and husband, Larry of Crowley and Catherine Moore of Dallas; grandchildren, Chad Chesser and wife, Terri and Alicia Chesser, Cody Chesser, Stephen and Michael Havens, and Jeremy and David Chesser; and four great-grandchildren.
