Virginia Curtis Walker, 79, a lifelong Waco resident, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2003, at a local nursing home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Father Angelo Bertini of St. Mary's Catholic Church officating. Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery in Waco. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.
Virginia was born October 10, 1923 in Waco to Charles and Katherine (Swindell) Curtis. She was a retired self-employed bookkeeper and was a Catholic. Virginia was a member of VFW Post 2148 Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Helen Diane Gregory.
Survivors include a son, Charles Walker and his wife Carolyn Walker of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; brother, George Swindell of Kennedale; sister, Ann Masters of Waco; three grandsons, Danny Ray Walker of Las Vegas, Charles Walker Jr. of Friendswood, and Christopher Walker of Murfreesboro; granddaughter, Tammy Gregory of Waco.
