Virginia Dare Wilson, 74, of Waco, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday, August 21, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellmead by Father Joseph F. Geleney, Jr. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Virginia was born in Pontiac, Mi., to Manuel and Mamie Garcia. She was a devoted mother who was a wonderful example of Christian faith to her daughters. She found happiness doing things for others, and was loved by everyone who met her.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She loved to cook, and often took meals to shut-ins in her apartment complex.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fred Wilson, who remained the love of her life even though he passed away 29 years ago; three brothers, Guadalupe Garcia, John Garcia and Jesse Garcia; and two sisters, Santos Martinez and Mary Rodriguez.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane Hutcherson and husband, Mark, Sherry Chapa and husband, Frank, and Michelle Wall and husband, Jeff; two sisters, Florence Garcia and Dolores Farrell; two brothers, Bill Garcia and wife, Theresa, and Manual Garcia and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Frank Chapa and wife, Bonnie, Robert Chapa, Jeffrey Wall and wife Dorothy, Stephanie, Justin, Ginny and Elizabeth Wall, Cheryl Hutcherson; and great-grandchildren, Logan and Landon Chapa, Zaiden Thomas, and a grandchild on the way.
Pallbearers will be Frank Chapa, Sr., Jeff Wall, Mark Hutcherson, Frank Chapa, Jr., Robert Chapa, Jeffery D. Wall, Justin Wall, Bill Garcia, Jr.
