Walteen Sellers, 92, passed away Saturday June 23, 2007.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday June 27, at OakCrest Funeral Home 4520 Bosque Blvd. with the Rev. Carl Freeto officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Viewing will be 8 am to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Walteen was born October 9, 1914 in Moran , Texas, the oldest child of Lonnie and Sallie Wood. When she was a young child, her family moved to the Hamilton area where she lived for a number of years. She attended schools in the Aleman Community and in Hamilton.

After high school, she worked as a beautician in Hamilton. She married the love of her life, J.F, Sellers on September 21, 1935. They spent several years in Hamilton and Gatesville before moving to Waco. They made their home in Waco for over 50 years.

She devoted her life to being a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her two granddaughters dearly and loved spending time with them.

They cherished their "Ninny". Walteen was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, now Central United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and a brother. Her husband of 54 years, J.F. Sellers, died in 1990.

Walteen will be missed by her daughters, Monta Jean Sellers Conner and husband Ted of Valley Mills, Suzanne Sellers Bingham and husband Johnny of Waco; her granddaughters Shawna Tiner and husband Richard of Cleburne, Cristin Barron and husband Don of Joshua; sister Maggie Davis of Hamilton; brother Allen Wood of Ft. Worth and several loving nieces and nephews.

The family of Walteen would like to express their love and gratitude to all the special angels who helped her through the last three years. We say thank you to Dr. Artie Sudan and all the staff at Waco Internal Medicine, to Judy and all the wonderful people at Hillcrest Hospice, who so patiently and delicately cared for her, to all you special ones who so lovingly cared for her at Quality Care, and to the two angels, Connie and Deborah, who helped mother during her last days, to Peggy who was such a friend to mother our hearts will be eternally grateful.

Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Hospice, American Cancer Society, or Quality Care of Waco.
