Walter Mcgee
Walter Hugh (Tot) McGee, 79, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at his residence. Service will be 12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Private burial will be later at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Walter was born in Corsicana to Edwin B. and Callie Bell (Mathis) McGee. He was a retired home improvement contractor, and was a devoted fisherman. Tot's calling was to be a friend and helper to everyone.
Tot was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Irene Rose McGee; son, Randy McGee and wife, Lisa, of Lacy Lakeview, and Wayne McGee and wife, Shana of Hubbard; daughters, Connie Gordon and husband, Michael, of Hubbard, Peggy Poole and husband, Darryl, of Waco, and Vickie Grube and husband, Charles of Bellmead; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.
The family especially thanks Charles Kelly and Ann Cox for their help during Tot's illness.
