OBITUARY

Walter Gayle Miller, 65, of Granbury, passed away on Wednesday at his home. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the OakCrest Funeral Home chapel, 4520 Bosque Boulevard. The Rev. Kenny Kemp will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Walter was born Dec 21, 1939 in Pritich, Colorado to William and Florence Mildred Miller. He was a mechanic machinist for Master Foods USA where he retired in 1990. He was married to Shirley Ann (Petty) Miller on May 5, 1961. He served as a mechanic in the Air Force during the Vietnam era.

He was a past master of the Masonic Lodge #92 of Waco, and a member of the Scottish Rite, Karem Shrine, and Lorena Eastern Star. He was a member of Brotherhood of the Third Wheel Association, and the Brazos River Trikers Club. He was a devoted father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; sons, Walter Gayle Miller, Jr. and wife, Kim, of Gholson, Johnny Allen Miller and wife, Alicia, of Tolar; daughters, Kathy Jean Storemski and husband, Daniel of Fort Worth, Mildred Ruth Boehme and husband, Daryll, of McGregor, Barbara Ann Ashcraft and husband, Jonathan of McGregor; brother, Phillip Miller of California; sisters, Betty Riggs of Dublin, Beverly Caldwell of Claremont, California, Lavonne Miller of Colorado; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, % Karem Shrine, 400 Karem Circle, Waco, TX 76712.
