Wanda Juanell Brooks, 75, passed away after a lengthy illness January 30, 2011. A memorial service will held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Cogdell United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Blackford officiating.
Mrs. Brooks was born in DeKalb, Texas to Arvile Lee and Veda Mae (Pickens) Williams, on April 11, 1935. After completing school, she was married to her husband, Cecil C. Brooks November 18, 1960 in Speegleville. Mrs. Brooks was an accountant for the U.S. Civil Services for 22 years. She was a member of her community since 1985 and attended Cogdell Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil C. Brooks; daughter, Carla (Deni) Brooks; Parents, Arvile and Veda Williams.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by daughter, Ranah J. Brooks; son, Kenneth D. Brooks, of Temple; sister, Betti A. White; brother, James D. Williams and wife, Betty.
