Wilder Eugene Scooter Chandler IV, 58, of Waco, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at his residence.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Freeto officiating. Burial will follow in Pendleton Cemetery at 3 p.m.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Scooter was born in Houston to W.E. Chandler III and Winnie Faye McGregor. Scooter graduated from Richfield High School in 1970.

Following his graduation from Baylor University in 1974, he owned and operated Our House Delicatessen until 1984. He later became the Regional Deli Director of HEB, and retired as City of Waco Program Administrator Fleet Service in 2004. Scooter was active in the Waco Jaycees for many years.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Scooter is survived by: his wife, Tanya RheeNa Chandler; son, Wilder Chandler V of Dallas; daughters, Stacia Chandler of Dallas and Shayna Huegel and husband, Andrew, of Waco; grandchildren, Evan and Natalie Huegel; mother, Winnie Fay Chandler McMillan; brother, Byron Eugene Chandler and wife, Kathy, of Waco; niece, Ursula Woessner of Dallas; nephew, Brin Chandler of Waco; step-sons, Joshua, Christopher, and Jeremy Williams; step-daughter, Carrie Norwood, all of Waco; and numerous loved step-grandchildren.
