Wiley Stephen (Bo) Mills, 81, of Waco, died Monday, August 3, 2009, at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Pastor Kay Hawkins officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, from 5 - 7 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Wiley (Bo) Mills of Waco was born September 29, 1927 in Miller County Arkansas to William and Clara Mills. He moved to East Texas as a young boy and later to Central Texas. He attended schools in Overton and Valley Mills before enlisting in the Army Air Corps. He served as an airplane mechanic instructor at Keesler Field in Biloxi, Mississippi.
He worked for Fred Hall Construction of Valley Mills for ten years and retired from Central Freight Lines of Waco after 28 years. He especially enjoyed gardening and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Valerie Greenwood, Lelia Katolnig, and Lillie Nichols; and four brothers, Wayne Mills, Richard Mills, Raymond Mills, and Tommy Mills.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie Mills; daughters, Carol and Ronnie Dansby of Woodway, Connie and Donnie Dansby of Brentwood, Tennessee, Caren Sue and Johnny Timmons, Sr. of Seabrook, Cherrie and Rick Mitchell, Sr. of Pearland, Lynnette and James Jones, II of Waco, Annette Foulds of Seattle, Washington, and son, William Foulds. He leaves three granddaughters, Debbie Dansby Fariss, Donna Dansby Bass, and Clarissa Timmons Gouldin, and eight grandsons, Stephen Dansby, Charles Dansby, Wiley Timmons, Johnny Timmons, Jr., Rickey Mitchell, Jr., Alan Mitchell, James Jones, III, and Cameron Jones and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by former wife and mother of first four daughters, Charlotte Petty of Waco, sister, Alice (Skeet) and Roy Oliver of Kilgore, sister-in-law, Louise Mills of Marrerro, Louisiana, and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are nephews, Rodney and Paul Nichols; grandsons, Wiley Timmons, Sr., Charles Dansby, Stephen Dansby, Rickey Mitchell, Jr., Johnny Timmons, Jr., Alan Mitchell, James Jones, III, and Cameron Jones.
