Wilila Guyton Mosley, 92, of Waco, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, at the Park Lake Drive Baptist Church, 3701 N. 27th Street, with the Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.
Wilila was born April 29, 1914 in Waco to Frank and Sophie (Fitzpatrick) Guyton. She was born, raised, and died on the same piece of property in Waco. She married William (Bill) Edward Mosley on February 17, 1951 in Hobbs, New Mexico.
She was a medical secretary for the Waco Veterans Administration Hospital, retiring in 1976 after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Park Lake Drive Baptist Church, Marek Temple Daughters of the Nile #104; Walter Baldwin Chapter 939, Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star; and a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Sterling C. Robertson Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Lois Mosley; and a grandson, B.J. Jenson.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bill Mosley; sons, Wendell Mosley and wife, Linda, William (Bill) Eugene Mosley and wife, Teresa, and Richard Mosley and wife, Glenda; daughter, Paula Jenson and husband, Steve; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Brian Mosley, Chris Mosley, Tim Mosley, Alvin Mosley, Steve Mosley, Gregg Dodge, Mike Copeland, and Johnny York.
