William (Will) Alvy Lytle, 65, of Hewitt, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, July 18, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 9820 Chapel Rd., Hewitt, with Father Rakshaganathan Selvaraj as celebrant.

Committal service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. A Rosary Service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., followed by visitation with the family from 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Will was born January 21, 1946 in Corpus Christi to Louis M. and Ruth (Rainey) Lytle. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1963-1967 in Vietnam, Will was married January 19, 1968 in Corpus Christi to Sarah Eileen Pohl. Will attended Del Mar Tech and Del Mar College in Corpus Christi.

After moving to Waco, he attended TSTC-Waco and McLennan Community College where he took business courses. For over 20 years, he worked for the Sears Service Department in Corpus Christi and later in Waco. After retiring, he drove for Waco Transit until he became ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Gene Arthur Lytle.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Eileen; three brothers, John T. Lytle and wife Barbara of Corpus Christi, Frederick M. Lytle and wife, Patricia of Mathis, and Lewis W. Lytle and wife, Bernie of Spicewood; three sisters, Gwendalyn Noe and husband, Ron of Bristow, Okla., Billie Ruth Eason of Humble, and Linda S. Myrick and husband, Curtis of Burnet; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Lytle nephews: Wayne Lytle, David Lytle, Travis Campbell, Ernie Eason, Lewis Lytle, Jr., Curt Myrick, and Brandon Davis.

The family especially appreciates the care provided by the nurses and staff of Unit 3J at Temple Teague VA Hospital.
