William Louis "Bill" Robinson, 88, of Waco, died July 30, 2002 at his home. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 2, 2002, at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Mr. Robinson was born September 20, 1913 in Meridian. Bill moved his family to Grand Prairie to help build airplanes for North American Aircraft. After World War II, Bill spent the next 20 years helping Youngbloods Fried Chicken build over 25 restaurants across Texas. In the process, he became vice president of the division. Returning to Waco, he became a sales rep for Waco Hotel Supply until he retired. Mr. Robinson was a member of Waco Masonic Lodge #92 and First Baptist Church of Waco.
Mr. Robinson is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William Neil and Amelia Robinson of Riverside, CA; sister, Louese Tiner of Waco; grandson, William Michael and wife Melisa Robinson of Choctaw, OK; granddaughter, Julia D. Robinson of Nashville, TN and granddaughter, Jennifer Robinson Gochis and husband Tom of Florissant, CO and three great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Baxter, Bentley Betts, Harold Cockrell, Marvin Smith, Perry Smith and Kenneth Tiner.
