William F. (Bill) Silaff Jr.
April 15, 1940 - July 23, 2009

William F. (Bill) Silaff Jr., 69, of Lacy-Lakeview passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Gerald Cemetery with Pastor Frannie Sidenblad officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Bill was born in Leroy to William F. Silaff Sr. and Janet Terry Silaff. He married Geneiva Bankhead June 23, 1962, in Oglesby. Bill was an Air Force veteran and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ; he was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He graduated from West High School in 1958 and attended Kilgore College. Bill loved all of his family, especially hunting and fishing with his grandsons. Bill always had a smile for everyone he met.

Bill was preceded in death by his father and grandmother Lena; and sister -in-law Susie Wilcox.

Bill is survived by his wife of 47 years, Geneiva; daughter, Terri and husband Glen; grandsons Justin McCullough, Tanner Stephens, and Hayden Stephens; mother, Janet Silaff; sister, Barbara Kusler and husband, Richard; brother, Don Silaff and wife, Pam; sister-in-law, Glenda Vandiver and husband, David; brother-in-laws, Ronnie Warren and wife, Sharon, Jerry Bankhead and wife, Cheryl, Gary Bankhead and wife, Sammi, Jimmy Wilcox; several nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Stephens, Justin McCullough, Tanner Stephens, Hayden Stephens, Don Silaff, Richard Kusler, Donald Kusler, Matt Silaff and Mandy Priddy.
