William Skinner

William "Bill" Clay Skinner, 56, of China Spring, went to the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2006. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday April 24, 2006 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd, Waco with Rev. Norm Steinke officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at the OakCrest Funeral Home.

Bill was born December 3, 1949 to Robert and Margaret Skinner. On April 30, 1977, Bill married the love of his life, Debbie. He was preceded in death by his wonderful parents, as well as his mother-in-law, Myrtle Koester.

Bill was the proud owner and operator of Goldstar Motors in Waco. He was a lifelong resident of Waco, an automobile enthusiast, avid hunter, and well-known professional bass fisherman for many years. Bill's devotion to his Lord was ever present in his passion for God's great outdoors. Above his individual accomplishments, Bill was a dedicated husband, a loving "Gramps", and a loyal son-in-law. He will be terribly missed by his family and numerous friends.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie of 29 years, a step-son and wife, Don and Traci Perkins of China Spring, two grandchildren, Alexandra and Ben; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Alice Skinner of Fort Worth; a sister, Meg Weiss of Arlington; a sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Leonard McPheters of Kingwood; brother-in-law and wife, Larry and Linda Koester of Sugarland, and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park following the service.

The family would like to give special recognition to the efforts of the China Spring Volunteer EMS and the emergency personnel of Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or Humane Society / Fuzzy Friends.
