Willian Burling

William (Bill) Leonard Burling, Sr., 79, of Waco, Texas passed away May 14th, 2005 at Crestview Healthcare Center.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the Speegleville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darrell Phillips officiating. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Bill was born February 23, 1926, to C.F. and Janie Burling in Alpine, Texas. He graduated from Sul Ross State College and went into business. He owned the B&F Heating, Air Conditioning, & Sheet Metal Company for many years. He moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico in 1968. Bill proudly served in the Navy in the Seabees Battalion from 1944 to 1946 in the South Pacific. He was a life member of the VFW and the Oddfellow Lodge and a member of the Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Mae, three sons, William Burling, Jr. and his wife Linda of Waco, Texas, James Steven of Lindale Texas, and Charles Thomas and wife Debi of Ramsey, Minnesota. Bill is also survived by seven grandchildren, Chris and wife Trina, Gary and wife Shaylee, Kristin and husband Scott, Joshua, Tommy Wade, Eric, and Kyle, and three great-grandchildren, Bayleigh, Cole, and Alex. He is also survived by one brother, Jerry and his wife Pat, and one sister, Jean Martin.
If desired, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hillcrest Hospice, or any other association of your choice.

The family would like to express special thanks to Barbara Duncan and all of the nurses, aides, and staff of Crestview Healthcare Center, and Linda Hamalik of Hillcrest Hospice for the special care given to Bill.
