William (Willie) Svrcek 92, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021. Per his wishes, a private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 20, at Oakwood Cemetery with Deacon Greg George officiating.

Willie was born April 24, 1929, in Cottonwood, Texas, to V.J. and Anna (Marek) Svrcek. He was the oldest of five children. He was employed by Rainbo bakery for 40 years. After retirement, he was an agent for RVOS Insurance.

Willie married the love of his life, Eilleen Webb on October 19, 1949. They were blessed with almost 72 years of marriage. They had two daughters, Debbie Svrcek and Darlene Cooper.

Willie is survived by his adoring wife, loving daughters, son-in-law Mike Cooper,
granddaughter, Angela Cooper Corley and her husband, Kevin Corley and great-grandchildren, Allison, Grace, and Patrick Corley. Other survivors include brother Herman Svrcek and wife Sue and sister Lillian Mach, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

During his lifetime, Willie served as a Knight of Colombus for 47 years in St. Mary's council 1358. He loved to fish in Rockport, Texas, and build and fly model airplanes. He was a member of the Heart of Texas Miniature Aircraft Club for many years. Willie was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church.

Above all else, Willie lived for his family and they for him. He was a quiet man who always had a smile on his face. He leaves a legacy of love and will be missed by all who knew him.
