Willie Mae Tennison , 92, of Woodway passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at a local hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Jim Martin and Scott Talley officiating.
Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Willie Mae was born April 2, 1915 in Athens to George H. and Minnie (Powers) Wilson. She married John Tennison on June 22, 1933 in West. She was a member of the Crestview Church of Christ in Woodway.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, and brothers G. W. Wilson and E. G. Wilson.
She is survived by her son, Billy Tennison and wife, Barbara of Woodway; grandson, Billy Tennison Jr. and wife, Tina of McKinney; granddaughter, Paula Davis and husband, John Scott of Carrollton; great-grandchildren, Delaney and Presley Davis, Cory and Bryce Tennison; niece, Pam McCamish and husband, Rudy of Austin; brother-in-law, Jimmy Tennison and wife, Shirley of Ross, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was a Godly woman always putting others first. Her sweet gentle spirit will be missed.
The family expresses special thanks to longtime friend and neighbor Ruby Durst.
Memorials may be made to Crestview Church of Christ, Community Service or Providence Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Nussman, Riley Goates, Danny Goates, Rudy McCamish, Joe Moore and John Buckner.
