Winifred Ewing Plemons, 91, of Hewitt, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Providence Health Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Shiloh Baptist Church with Jim Dixon and Daniel Camp officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation with her family will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Winifred was born July 20, 1921 in Speegleville to Newton Campbell Ewing, Sr. and Lilly Becky Warren. She married James Brown Plemons March 28, 1940 in China Spring. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for over 30 years at Graham Embroidery.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Winifred is survived by two sons, Jimmy P. Plemons of Moody and Donald R. Plemons of Austin; one daughter, Phyllis Blackwood of Elm Mott; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Tom Reed, Lamar Ewing, Mike Plemons, Blanfard Perry, Larry J. Plemons and Mark Perry.
In lieu of floral arrangements memorials may be directed to Providence Hospice, the Butch Pruett Memorial Fund at McLennan Community College or the charity of your choice.
