Winni Weng

Winni Yingxia Weng passed away in her loving home on December 16th, 2024. She was born on December 29th, 1976, in FuZhou, China. Baptized around the age of 20, she served at church joyfully. Later, she moved to the United States on December 5th, 1998. On March 29th, 1999, she married Qian Li, and a year later their first son was born on March 23rd, 2000. Then on January 23, 2010, their second son Roger was born.

Starting from when she moved to New York, she had been working in restaurants full time along with her husband to provide for the family. When Roger was diagnosed with leukemia, she stood by him day and night. In those days, the hospital was her second home. Fortunately, Roger was healed by God's grace.

When her family moved to Texas, she joined the Waco Chinese Church. She always loved to help in the nursery and to provide food for services. She loved to worship among her brothers and sisters in Christ and whenever there were any special events, she was always willing to help. One of her favorite events at the church was the celebration of the Chinese New Year. When she learned that Nick and his wife, Bella, wanted to go to New York for Bible College, she gave them her blessings and supported them.

Winni was known for always being joyful and caring toward others. One of her passions was babysitting because she loved newborns. In her spare time, she read novels and listened to many audiobooks. She was a great mother who was always involved in her sons' lives. At home, she was a great chef who always prepared warm meals.

Winni’s legacy is carried on by her beloved husband, Tony Li, who always provided for her; her eldest son, Nick Li, whom she has always supported, and his wife, Gabriella Li, the daughter she always wanted; and Roger Li, whom she loved so dearly.

She will forever be in our hearts and memories. Because of our faith in Jesus Christ, we have this eternal hope that we will be united with her in our Heavenly home forever. We will always love you, sister Winni.
