Winnie Turner
Winnie Dunn Turner, 95, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at a local nursing facility. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home with burial at Waco Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.
Winnie was born September 10, 1917 at Ladonia, Texas, to Henry and Elena Ray Dunn. Her daddy was a Baptist preacher, and for over 50 years Winnie was a church pianist for several local Baptist churches.
She was preceded in death by two local sisters, Vinnie Christian Wolf and Phebe Brenholtz Maskew.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Turner of Waco; grandson, Stephen Turner of Austin; and nieces, Mary Ann Brenholtz Grant of Waco and Carolyn Wolf Lloyd of Round Rock.
