Adaline Hart Montgomery, 92, of Waco, passed away July 10, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, July 15 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco. Entombment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Adaline was born September 28, 1922 in Hugo, OK to Fitzhugh Lee and Lula (Johnson) Hart. In 1925 she and her family moved to Sulphur Springs, TX. She graduated from Miller Grove High School in 1940 and went to beauty college in Waco. Adaline married Monty Montgomery and soon after she opened her own beauty shop, which she ran for 50 years. She was a devoted member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. She loved church, family and her home.

Adaline was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Monty; six sisters and a brother.

She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth McKinney of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Mrs. Jackee Brisby and her husband Ant of Waco; niece, Mrs. Sherry Ann Campbell of Farmers Branch; and 8 additional nieces and nephews.
