Naomi E. Bell
October 15, 1914 – October 2, 2015

Naomi E. Bell, 100, of Waco passed away Friday, October 2, 2015. Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 6 at 11:00 a.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home with burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday, October 5 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Naomi was born October 15, 1914 in Blevins, TX to Byron C. and Robbie (Dacus) Courtney. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone where she worked for over 37 years as a telephone operator.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ervin Ashley and Robert Bell; brother, Byron C. Courtney II; and sisters, Ida Mae Thompson and Teresa LaVerne Courtney.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Reitha Gaines, Debbie Milliard and husband Mark, David E. Bell, Betty Grisham and Bobbie Medlin; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Naomi’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to her private care giver, Van Woodard, as well as to the staff at Ridgecrest Retirement Center for the wonderful and loving care provided to Naomi.

Pallbearers will be John Beard, Mark Milliard, Byron (Toey) Courtney and David Gaines.
