Obituary for Daniel Hernandez Jr.

Daniel Hernandez Jr, 45, was born in Waco, Texas on May 14, 1970 to Daniel G. Hernandez Sr. and Maria Rangel. He passed away April, 5th 2016 in his hometown.

A memorial for Daniel will be held this Saturday April 9th at 3 pm., at Oakcrest Funeral Home, We would love all who loved, knew, or were acquainted with him to attend and share in the memories you have with him.

My Father was a strong, gentle, kind and endearing person. He always taught me to never live life angry and to enjoy it. “You cannot sweat the small stuff in life,” he would say. He was a true model to that statement. He had many loving friends and family members with whom he would always be willing to put forth all of his energies to aid. His open involvement in his loved ones lives comes to no small loss as he is and always will continue to remain the bond that held so many hearts together.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Daniel G. Hernandez, Sr. Survivors include his mother, Maria Rangel-Varela and Rolando Varela, who was like a father to him; sisters, Arline Castillo and boyfriend, Eddie Hurtado, Elsie Kageler and husband, Kenneth Kageler; brothers, Rolando Varela Jr, Donald Hernandez and wife, Amanda, David Hernandez and wife, Linda, Robert Hernandez and wife, Sophie; his children’s mother, Patricia A. Hernandez, and his loving children, daughters, Isabella K. Hernandez and fiancé, Omar E. Fagerberg, Madelyn Benites; and sons, Austin J. Hernandez, River J Hernandez. He also had many nieces and nephews which he loved dearly.

The family gives special thanks to all the friends and family that have expressed their love for Daniel. To his co-workers at Baylor and his local Dart friends, thank you for helping and loving his family in their time of need. To say that he is missed is as much of an understatement as one can define.
