Obituary for Ralph B. Patrick

Ralph Byron Patrick, 80, of Speegleville, Texas, left to reside in his heavenly home with his Lord and savior on Monday, June 13, 2016.

Services will be Friday, June 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, with Rev. Vernon R. Gatlin officiating, and burial to follow at Valley Mills Cemetery in Valley Mills, Texas.

Ralph was born in LaPorte, Texas on December 3, 1935 to L. C. Patrick and Doris A. (Darby) Patrick.
He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. Upon his return to Waco, he met, then married the love of his life, Jean (Cross) Patrick in 1959, they were blessed with 56 years of marriage and three daughters.

He began a career with the City of Waco Fire Department as a professional firefighter until he retired as Captain after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Waco Masonic Lodge and had recently earned his 50 year Master Mason pin and was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, sister Gail Patrick, and brothers Maurice Patrick and Melvin Morris Patrick.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Patrick, daughters Shirley Bolfing (Randy), Marilyn Rindos (Chuck), Doris Board ( Shawn); siblings Dalton Abel ( Delores), LaVearn Camp, Ivan Patrick, Dennis Patrick, Esther Burchett (Doyle), Cyril Patrick (Patricia); grandchildren Michael Bolfing, Jessica Strube ( Lee), Brian Bolfing, Ashley Suggs, Westin Horn ( Jordan), Katelyn Board; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
