Richard Wilton Powers, 90, of Waco, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Services will be at 4:00 pm, Saturday, June 25, at OakCrest Funeral Home, with Rev. Gene Bandy and Rev. Carey Killough officiating. Burial will be at 6:00 pm at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Reagan, Texas. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Mr. Powers was born May 15, 1926 in Reagan, Texas to Herschel and Arrilla (Cobb) Powers. He attended local public schools and served in the U. S. Army. He married the love of his life Clara Marie Benke. He was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather and also a successful salesman in farm equipment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Herschel Milton, son Bill, sister, Faye, brother Tom, and his loving wife.

He is survived by his daughters; Laura Powers of Robinson, TX, Lisa Jobe and husband Mike, of Arlington, TX, and daughter-in-law, Dianne Powers of College Station, TX; sons, Rod Powers and Jerry Powers both of Waco, TX; grandchildren; Scott Powers, Jennifer Campbell , Dan Cathey, Amy Smith, Amanda Walker, and Cara Powers, Chris Jobe, Brandon Jobe and Justin Jobe; and 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Dorris Childs and Shella Moore; brother; Robert Powers and wife, Lyn; and brother-in-law, Bud Hagner.

Memorials made be made to Meadowbrook Baptist Church or Blue Ridge Cemetery Association.
