Joe Ann Lankford, 79, of Waco, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017. Services will be 1 pm Friday, January 6 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Charles Blansit officiating. Burial will follow in Dawson cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Thursday, January 5 at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Joe Ann was born July 20, 1937 in Waco to Joe Frank Loy and Anna Williams Loy. After graduating from Waco High School, she attended Baylor University and 4 C Business College. On August 3, 1956 she married her one true love, Marion D. Lankford. She and Marion worked together at Lankford Estate Liquidators and never missed a weekend at the flea market. She was also an avid paper doll collector. Joe Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Marion D. Lankford; and brother-in-law, Norval Benge.

Joe Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Richard Lankford and wife, Terri; daughter, Julie Blansit and husband, Chad; sister, Lela Benge; grandchildren, Richard Lankford, Jr., Rachel Blansit, and Lauren Blansit; great grandson, Kayden Blansit; and her beloved companion, Callie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
