The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sylvia Allen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

My Dearest Sylvia, You are my dearest friend and the first person I met when I moved to Austin. We instantly became friends. As I leave my condolences for your family, I wanted one last time to reach out and send you a hug and my love. You have the biggest, kindest heart of anyone I’ve ever known. Not a day as ever gone by that I don’t think of you, see your beautiful needlepoint, and miss you. There will always be a hole in the hearts of all of us who know you and love you, and I, and they, will rely on your strength, your love of life, kindness, love of your home and cats to sustain us as we miss you.
