The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Clara Howington can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Spending the night with Grandma

Growing up we used to anxiously await our Friday night turn to spend the night with Grandma. All three of us grandkids couldn't wait for it to be our turn. Grandma always had our favorite snacks and cereal. One morning as Grandma was getting ready in the bathroom I stood watching her. She told me laughing as she told the story that I asked her, " Why do you put lipstick on?" "It does not make you look prettier." Grandma laughed telling me this story, just as she laughed at so many things in life."
